God wanted me now. He "set me Free".
This picture was taken during Jessica's Make-A-Wish Trip
to the Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas. She originally planned
to go to Hawaii, her dream. However, her trip had to be
changed due to the doctor's advise of leaving sooner than
planned. So, we changed our plans and got on an airplane
to Jessica's second choice, the Bahamas.
She just loved the hotel. She went swimming in the
beautiful aqua blue ocean. She went on the water
slides and laughed when her Dad got stuck in one.
All the beautiful tropical fish in large aquariums all
around the outside of the hotel. She could spend
hours just watching the fish, saying each one had
it's own personality. It was such a bittersweet
vacation for me. I knew it would be our last family
trip and how my heart ached. I treasure all the
memories of that trip.
I am so grateful to all the wonderful people at the
Make-A-Wish Foundation. They brought some
happiness to my daughter, and I will always remember
that. Please consider supporting this organization, if
the chance should arrive. They have uplifted so many
spirits of children whose lives have been crushed by a
life-threatening disease.
